Crack filling service
Prolong the life of your asphalt
Maintain the health of your pavement with our crack filling service
Pavement replacement and repair can be expensive. Preventative maintenance is the most cost-effective way to prolong the life of your pavement. Regular crack filling should be considered an essential part of this cost-effective routine maintenance.
Catching cracks early while they are still small prevents cracks and gaps from getting out of hand, which may necessitate more involved repair.
Prevent Pavement degradation
If not properly filled or serviced, cracks in pavement will inevitably come into contact with UV rays, chemicals, water, snow, and other potentially harmful materials. This can enlarge the size of the cracks, creating potholes and jeopardizing the integrity of your pavement.
Crack filling acts as a seal, that works with the rest of your asphalt to repel water and other materials, prolonging the life of your asphalt.
Types of crack filling
We offer two major types of crack filling services. Which one is best for your individual circumstance will depend on the climate, the type and condition of the pavement, and the expected traffic.
Cold crack filling
Cold crack filling is a cost-effective solution that is comprised of a coal tar. We recommend cold crack filling for smaller cracks.
Hot crack filling
Hot crack filling is more involved and requires rapidly heating a rubber asphalt material to 500 degrees that is then applied to the cracks. This sort of service is typically recommended for busier areas, such as roads, car lots, and freeways due to its low cure time (15-20 minutes). This allows for minimum downtime while still ensuring great results.
We also provide Gator-Patch, which is a pavement repair material typically applied with a trowel. Gator-Patch corrects areas that have taken on an “alligator” appearance.
